They'll refund you but only if you catch it before you start to watch the second version. How many times have I purchased a movie I already own that way? At least a few times that I'm aware of. But then if I select one of the versions and go to "customers also watched" I usually see another version that IS in my library but didn't show up on a search. Like I'll want to watch a movie I think I've purchased but it's been more than a few years, so maybe I'd just rented it, because I'll search for it and 5 or 6 versions to rent or buy will show up. It's totally an intentional move that we cannot search within our own libraries. ![]() (/s) To see your books in your library, you just have to go to your library and select "sort by A-Z" or whatever, and scroll through page after page after page, since they don't have a little bar on the right to scroll quickly to a specific letter (Amazon music just took that tool away too, which baffles me), until you eventually get to the book you know is there. You can get to your already purchased books. Your programmers need to PUT THE FEATURE BACK! I don't need to clear my cached or reinstall the app. I know Audible has issued a significant number of refunds because people cannot find titles they've purchased in their libraries, and the customer assumes that Audible deleted it, when in fact Audible just made it extremely difficult to find!ĭo better: The last time I complained about this, I got an email response that did not address the concern at all. I shouldn't have to scroll through 400+ titles just to find the one I want to listen to next. If I try to search for The Martian, it only shows the version currently for sale, which I don't own. The fourth book, The Martian, has been rereleased, but I own the older version (narrated by RC Bray). When I go to that author within my library, it only shows three of his books. It's bad.īut how bad is it, really? Well, I own four books by Andy Weir. I've never, ever had to pay attention to which version of an app I was using the way I have to pay attention to my Audible app. Why it's particularly frustrating: We got this feature back in v 3.28.0, and now it's gone again in 3.29.0. I own several hundred Audible books, and before this feature disappeared, the search feature was the fastest, easiest way to find an individual book in my library. What this means: Because the search feature ONLY searches the STORE, books I own that are no longer sold don't show up in the search results. What's missing: The ability to search my own LIBRARY in the ANDROID APP. I just sent a complaint via the email suggestion form, for all the good it will do. ![]()
